COURSE CONTENT – VOICE WORKOUTS
Warm-ups and relaxation techniques
Factors which influence the voice
Developing a posture to support an interesting and dynamic voice
Breathing techniques
Projecting the voice without effort (i.e. no straining)
Developing the voice for maximum effect and impact, including vocal clarity, dexterity and expression
Creating time to think when speaking
Demonstrations of some vocal faults and how to overcome them
(e.g. hoarseness, babbling, freezing etc)
Evaluation and feedback

COURSE DETAILS
This can be a half-day or full-day course. It can be designed either for experienced speakers or beginners. It is interactive and participants will be expected to prepare and deliver a work-related presentation and informal, spontaneous presentations throughout. A maximum of 10 or minimum of 4 participants are required.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is beneficial to experienced speakers who wish to explore new areas of vocal expression and vocal impact. It is also beneficial for those people who feel restricted or inhibited by their voice, and whose ability to speak does not, seemingly, match their knowledge and ambitions.
